Emily Greene = ♥.

Emily Greene is a beautiful soul with a raw, mesmerizing voice; reminiscent of a young Gwen Stefani, Alison Sudol (A Fine Frenzy), Adele, and the softer side of Florence + the Machine. She effortlessly displayed her vocal range while playing the keys along side a full band at The Living Room on January 15th. The packed house was completely captivated by her exceptional lyrics, so personal that it felt as if we were privy to reading her diary. Emily truly let the audience into her world and took us all for a little ride, striking different emotional chords with every tune she played. She joked around with the crowd throughout the performance and was the most gracious of hosts making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, had a drink in their hands and were all good and “well-sexed.” Yep. Awesome.

Emily’s self-released EP “Is This What You Had In Mind?” is filled with soul-baring lyrics delivered from a sweet but powerful voice and backed by soft, folky-pop sounds. Emily Greene delivers an honest performance that truly makes you believe you just experienced the words she expresses. And I mean, any artist that ends their set with an acapella version of “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” fully has my vote.

Become smitten. ♥

  1. I know this post is 11 years old, but I've recently become an Emily Greene fan, and did a mix of her song from 2014 (not on any album I know of) called "New York City". She seems to have disappeared from the internet- any idea where she is nowadays?
